My mother is a busy person and as time passes by, she has a harder time remembering things.
So last weekend, I spent half an hour putting the birthday dates of family friends, that my mother has kept written down in an old organizer for a long time, to her iPad.
I set a reminder for the day before the birthdays.
Today, she mentioned, while we were watching TV, that a family friend’s birthday was tomorrow. And that her iPad reminded her. She said she wasn’t sure that she would have remember it if it wasn’t for the reminder.
I’m always so happy when technology helps people in practical ways.
